Rawlins County Health Center has tools available to help patients figure the cost of medical items and services, such as a Price Transparency cost estimator, a "Good Faith Estimate," and Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills.

Your trust is paramount to our practice, and we are committed to continually providing you with quality care. We understand that healthcare costs can be challenging to manage, and we strive to provide you with various payment options that best fit your finances. Please take a moment to review our policies on how we can assist you with payment on your account.
Copay/Deductible:
Copays and deductibles are an obligation set by your insurance carrier and are due in full at the time of service. Business office staff can assist with determining copay amounts and remaining deductibles through an eligibility system for most insurances.
Self-pay Discount:
If you do not have insurance, we provide a 15% discount upon request. This discount does not apply to those with insurance.
Most insurance carriers use a discount based on contract agreements with the facility.
Prompt pay Discount:
An additional 10% discount can be applied to the account balance if the patient pays the account in full within 30 days of the statement date.
Payment Plans:
- $0-$100: 30 days
- $101-$500: 3 months
- $501-$1,000: 6 months
- $1,001-$2,000: 12 months
- $2,001+: 18 months
- Acceptable forms of payment include: Cash, Check, Money orders, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
Financial Care
Rawlins County Health Center’s policy offers financial assistance to those patients who are uninsured or under-insured and have a household income of 300% or more below poverty level. If you believe you would qualify for these benefits or are having difficulty paying your current medical bills, please take the time to fill out this application. When submitting your application please remember to include all of the following documents to support your financial situation. Household assets do not need to be included for outpatient or ER services. Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified of the decision within 30 days of our receipt of a complete application.
Documents needed for Financial Assistance approval:
1. Individual or family income tax returns (include earnings statements, W-2s, 1099s, etc. for the past two years)
2. Payroll stubs, Social Security checks or unemployment checks from the last 90 days
3. Bank statements from the last 60 days
4. Current trust fund statements (if applicable)
5. Mortgage/Rent statements
6. Annual property tax statement (if applicable)
7. In the absence of income, a letter of support from individuals providing for the patient’s basic living needs
8. County tax appraisal statement (if applicable)
9. Documentation of employment status
10. Credit history reports (upon request)
11. Denial letter from Medicaid
12 Previous or current returns from collection agencies with documentation regarding inability to pay

Price Transparency Disclaimer: This list of charges reflects the standard charges for inpatient and outpatient services provided at Rawlins County Health Center. These charges are the same for all patients, but the patient’s financial responsibility for services provided may vary, depending upon payment plans negotiated with individual health insurers as well as reimbursement schedules set forth by public payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.
